Mu Bai (WANG GUOCE) – (China)

Mu Bai (the pen name of WANG GUOCE), was born in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. He chose the pen name “Mu Bai,” which means “to admire the poet Li Bai (Li Taibai).”

As a member of the China Writers Association and poet-in-residence at Capital Normal University during the 2014–2015 academic year, his poems have been published in China’s leading literary journals, including Poetry, People’s Literature, Chinese Writers, Xinhua Digest, and October. His works have also been included in various annual poetry anthologies.

Mu Bai participated in the 26th Youth Poetry Gathering organized by Poetry magazine, as well as the 31st Advanced Seminar for Young and Middle-aged Writers at the Lu Xun Literary Institute. He has received numerous awards and honors in China, including the October Poetry Award, the Red Sorghum Poetry Prize, the Zhejiang Excellent Literary Works Award, and the 2021 Top Ten Poetry Collections Award from China Poetry Network. His published poetry collections include The Wanderer, Open the Door and See the Mountain, and Let Poetry Be the Witness.
