Mihai Vasilescu (Romania)

MIHAI VASILESCU, 29 years old, born and based in Bucharest, is a writer, poet, and playwright. A graduate of the Hyperion University Faculty of Arts, he is the author of the poetry book TOM, awarded the Romanian Writers’ Union Debut Prize (2024) and First Place at the Getafe International Poetry Festival (2025). He has been published in magazines such as Luceafărul de dimineață and Kibo Titan, and featured in several literary anthologies. His fictional novel Would You Sell Your Most Beautiful Memory? was published in 2023. His play Anxiety is currently staged at Casa Kerim, Bucharest. He is the recipient of numerous national and international awards for poetry and prose.
