MIHAELA STANCIU (Romania)
MIHAELA STANCIU (1979, Bucharest) has a master degree in The Theory and Practice of
Editing, the Faculty of Letters – University of Bucharest, and a PhD in Philology from the same
institution. She was a University assistant for the Technical University of Civil Engineering of
Bucharest – the Department of Foreign Languages and Communication (DFLC). She attended
many international conferences and wrote articles for journals of literary studies, scientific
reviews etc.
She is the author of many poems, chronicles, interviews and other articles for the
following journals Punctum, Historia, Manuscripum, Sintagme Literare, Dilema veche,
Scriptor, Timpul. She also published the literary history study Hortensia Papadat Bengescu în
oglinda prozei de tinerețe (Hortensia Papadat-Bengescu Mirrored by Her Youth Prose, Pro
Universitaria Publishing House, Bucharest, 2015), the course book Noțiuni de limbaj tehnic pe
înțelesul străinilor (Technical Language for Foreign Students, Pro Universitaria Publishing
House, Bucharest, 2016) and the poetry books Azi cînt jazz (Today I’m Singing Jazz, Casa de
Pariuri Literare Publishing House, Bucharest, 2016), Vremea semnelor de carte (The Season of
Bookmarks, Neuma Publishing House, Cluj-Napoca, 2019) and Casa Surprizelor (The House of
Wonders, Neuma Publishing House, Cluj-Napoca, 2024). She is now a curator at the National
Museum of Romanian Literature.
