MARCO FAZZINI (Italy)
MARCO FAZZINI (b. in Ascoli Piceno, 1962) has studied at the University of Ca’ Foscari (BA and PhD degrees in 1987 and 1996) and at the University of Natal, South Africa (Master of Arts in 1992), plus short-term studies at the University of Edinburgh, Melbourne and London (Commonwealth Studies Dept, thanks to a John Menzies scholarship). He has written and edited articles and books on post-colonial literatures, and translated selections from the poetry of various major poets, including: Norman MacCaig, Philip Larkin, Hugh MacDiarmid, Kenneth White, Edwin Morgan, Douglas Dunn, Geoffrey Hill, Charles Tomlinson, Stephen Gray, Wole Soyinka, and Douglas Livingstone. His major poetry books are: Nel vortice (1999); Riding the Storm (2016); Canto dell’isola (2019); Selected Poems (2022); Tutte le poesie (2025).
