CRISTIANA ESO is a poet and lyric artist. Born in Constanța, she showed an early interest in art and music. Settled in France, she pursued studies in philology and comparative literature at the Faculty of Letters in Nancy, where she earned a General University Studies Diploma with a specialization in Performing Arts – DEUG Médiation Culturelle et Communication. In 2006, she graduated from the Faculty of French Language and Literature.

She is the author of the poetry volumes Carte pentru Oma El (Book for Oma El, 2001), La Mécanique du hasard / The Precise Order of Chance, 2004, L’Assomption / The Ascension, 2006, published by Ex Ponto, and Artisans de l’Invisible / The Artisans of the Invisible, 2019, published by Marsa. She received the Writers’ Union Award for debut in poetry (2002), the Ovidius Prize (2003), the Ex Ponto Publishing Prize (2005), and the Dobrogea branch of the Writers’ Union Prize in 2019.

She became a member of the Writers’ Union of Romania in 2009 and has published texts and articles in numerous literary journals. Bel canto has allowed her to divide her time between stage work as a chorus artist at the Limoges Opera and writing.
