COSTINEL PETRACHE (Romania)
COSTINEL PETRACHE was born on May 9, 1953 in Mihai Viteazul, Cluj County. After High School, he attended the Military School of Active Transmission Officers Military Academy, and the National Defense College. He has a PhD in History on ”National Defense in Contemporary Romania – 1918- 1989. Political Understanding”.
Between 1990 – 1998, he was a contributor at cultural magazines Vremea and Totuși iubirea; between 1998 – 2008, he was editor-in-chief of the Gândirea Militară Românească, a military theory and science magazine published by the General Staff.
Published books, poetry: Constatări pe pielea mea (Findings on my skin, 2006), Aripi de frunze (Wings of leaves, 2016), Aripi de cer (Wings of sky, 2018), Aripi de timp (Wings of time, 2019), Ferestre cu ochii închiși (Windows with closed eyes, 2020), Răni desculțe (Barefooted wounds, 2021), Pierdut în timp (Lost in time, 2022), Apus rotund (Round sunset).
Prose: Întoarcerea lumii (The return of the world, 2001 and 2024, revised and added edition), Cu sufletul desculț prin iarba lumii (With barefoot soul through the grass of world, 2025).
Essays: În numele cuvântului (In the name of word), Cuvântul nostru (Our word), Libertăți asumate (Assumed freedoms).
Interviews: Lăsați păsările să cânte (Let the birds sing), Idei pe frontal transformării (Ideas on the front of transformation), Convorbiri la început de secol (Conversations at the begining of the century).
Historical writings: Apărarea națională în România contemporană. Înțelegerea politică, Fundamente legislative ale apărării naționale. 1920-1989. (The National defense in contemporary Romania. The political understanding, Legislative foundations of national defense. 1920-1989).
