CARMEN SECERE is a member of the Writers’ Union of Romania, Bucharest — Poetry Branch.
She has published poems in the most important literary magazines: România literară, Expres Cultural, Viața Românească, Euphorion, Ramuri, Ateneu, Steaua, Neuma, Orizont etc.

She debuted with the volume “almost happy” (2018), for which she received the “Horațiu Ioan Lașcu” award from the Iași Branch of the Writers’ Union of Romania (National Poetry competition “Porni Luceafărul”, Botoșani, 2018).

She has also published: “my love my sadness/ life events in the east” (2019), “babylon/ monet’s poppies” (2019), “life as an easy death/ the earth’s last complete rotation” (2019), “life on ice/ carmen versus carmen) (2020), “toys with claws/ unofficially i am beautiful” (2022), “Blank” (2023), for which she received the “Mariana Marin” award from the Bucharest — Poetry Branch of the Writers’ Union of Romania (2024) and “Island of the apostates”(2025).

Her poetry has been translated into English, French, Italian, and Spanish.
