Founded in 2010 by The National Museum of Romanian Literature, the Bucharest International Poetry Festival (FIPB) is a project that has grown exponentially from one year to the next, becoming one of the most important literary festivals in Romania and one of the most appreciated in Central and Southern Europe -East by writers, book industry and wide literature-loving public.

Annually, the festival brings together in Bucharest dozens and hundreds of important names of today’s poetry from all over the world, in a varied sequence of events, celebrating writing as art alongside the tonalities of music, the nuances and pictorial visions or the joy of a theatrical or cinematic performance.

Coming to its 15th edition in 2025, the Bucharest International Poetry Festival is part of this broad project of reinvention and “staging” of literature as a show, as an experience, as an expression of vitality. (www.mnlr.ro)
