ALBERT TAJTI (Romania)
ALBERT TAJTI was born in 1984 in Piatra Neamț. He studied piano from the age of 7 in specialized high schools: the “Victor Brauner” Art High School in Piatra Neamț and the “George Enescu” National College of Music, Bucharest. A graduate of the Musical Composition Department, the “Gheorghe Dima” Academy of Music, Cluj, he turned his attention to jazz under the guidance of Mircea Tiberian, professor and coordinator of the Jazz Department at the National University of Music, Bucharest.
He has been active as an accompanist and pianist for almost ten years, collaborating with numerous instrumental formulas and vocal soloists of the genre: Alex Man, Michael Acker, Sebastian Burneci, Florin Romașcu, Laurențiu Zmău, Vlad Popescu, Octavian Scurtu, Mihai Iordache, Lucian Nagy, Jimmy Cserkesz, Ciprian Pop, Adrian Flautistu, Luiza Zan, Petra Acker, Elena Mîndru, Elena Morariu, Ana Cristina Leonte, Mircea Mutulescu, Cristian Soleanu, Sorin Romanescu. They win important awards, such as: “Best Jazz Band” – International Student Jazz Festival 2012, “Best Composition or Own Arrangement” – Sibiu Jazz Festival Competition 2010, 3rd Prize at the “Liviu Comes” Composition Competition, 2010 – Miniatures for piano “Mica Suite”, finalist in the “Jeunesse Musicales” competition – Bucharest International Jazz Competition 2010, participate in the concert launching the album “Romanian Jazz Collection” 2012, participate in the International Contemporary Arts Summer Classes camp – organized by ICon Arts – Jazz Section 2010, 2011, 2012.
