ION COCORA is a poet, essayist, theater critic, and publisher. Graduated in 1963 from the Faculty of Letters in Cluj (Babeș-Bolyai University). After graduation, he held several positions: advisor on theater issues in the administration, editor-in-chief of the column at the magazine Tribuna (for 25 years he has been signing the weekly theater review here), deputy editor-in-chief of the magazine Literatorul (editor-in-chief Marin Sorescu), commissioner of the International Association of Theater Critics (1981 – 1985, elected at the Tel Aviv Congress), director of Theatrum Mundi in Bucharest (1994-2005), director of the Palimpsest Publishing House (2003 to present), member of the Writers’ Union since 1969, founding member of UNITER, founding member of the Gellu Naum Foundation.

He has published over twenty books over the years.
