Ioan Matiuț (Romania)

IOAN MATIUȚ (b. on December 18th, 1956, in Chişineu Criş, Arad county, Romania) is a writer, journalist and publisher. A graduate in journalism of the “Aurel Vlaicu”University, Arad. Chief-editor of Monitorul Cultural and owner of the Mirador Publishing House, where aseries of booke from valuable writers have been published.

His poems are translated in English, French, German, Serbian, Slovene, Arabian, Italian, Swedish, Spanish and Hungarian, Polish. As a poet, he was awarded prizes from the Writers’ Union, The Association of the LiteraryPress and Publishing Houses of Romania (A.P.L.E.R.), Arad Town Hall, EUROPOEZIA (Braila 2020) and also of the Convorbiri Literare and Semne magazines, Princess Margareta of Romania. He has participated in several literary festivals and literary projects in the country and abroad. He has initiated and coordinated local, county and national literary projects.
