Daniela Bejinariu (Romania)

DANIELA BEJINARIU (born September 24, 1996, in Dorohoi) has been writing and reading poetry with enthusiasm for as long as she’s truly known herself. 

In the autumn of 2022, she submitted a selection of poems to the Nicolae Labiș National Competition, which went on to win the Grand Prize. Encouraged by this, she was already closely following a cohesive cluster of ideas that would eventually become her debut volume — New Era Eva (Tracus Arte Publishing House, 2024). The book, which first won the “Traian T. Coșovei” National Debut Prize (2023 edition) to secure its publication, later received First Prize at the “Porni Luceafărul” National Debut Competition in 2025.

The selection proposed here also includes two texts from a new series, part of her upcoming volume, which follows “the concrete resetting of muscles”.
