
IOAN MATIUȚ
IOAN MATIUȚ (b. on December 18th, 1956, in Chişineu Criş, Arad county, Romania) is a writer, journalist and publisher. A graduate in journalism of the “Aurel Vlaicu”University, Arad.
A marked presence in Arad’s cultural life: public readings, symposia,TV shows, book launches, articles in the local press. Chief-editor of Monitorul Cultural, editor at Arca cultural magazine and owner of the Mirador Publishing House, where aseries of booke from valuable writers have been published.
His poems are translated in English, French, German, Serbian, Slovene, Arabian, Italian, Swedish, Spanish and Hungarian, Polish. Asa poet, he was awarded prizes from the Writers’ Union, The Association of the LiteraryPress and Publishing Houses of Romania (A.P.L.E.R.), Arad Town Hall, and also of the ConvorbiriLiterare and Semne magazines, Princess Margareta of Romania.
