ZUZANA HOLÁ (CZECH REPUBLIC)

ZUZANA HOLÁ is a Prague-based visual artist and illustrator. Initially trained as a teacher of biology and art, she combines the precision of scientific observation with artistic expression, bringing the natural world closer to a wider audience.

She illustrates children’s books, scientific publications, educational nature trails, and exhibitions dedicated to natural history, working in a variety of media, including ink drawing and watercolour.

She first visited Romania as a student and has returned many times since, drawn to the Danube Delta, the Carpathians, and the richness of Romania’s culture and natural landscape. Her collaboration with Romanian poets is a natural continuation of this long-standing connection.
