SORIN GHERGUȚ is a Romanian poet and translator. He published the poetry volumes “Three” (Vellant Publishing House, Bucharest, 2016), “Anything. overpants and debris” (Pandora M Publishing House – Editorial Group Three, Bucharest, 2011) and “Time Out” (Timpul Publishing House, Iasi, 1998). He is the coauthor of collective volumes Family picture (Leka-Brancush Publishing House, Bucharest, 1995), together with Svetlana Cârstean, Mihai Ignat, Cezar Paul-Bădescu, Răzvan Rădulescu and T.O. Bobe), Goods (Salut Publishing House, 1996) and Recharged Goods (Brumar Publishing House, 2011), together with Dan Mircea Cipariu, Florin Dumitrescu, Dan Pleşa and B.O. Popescu, “Why cats have no tail. Anthology of limericks” (Art Publishing, 2017). He has been present in the Romanian poetry anthology in German translation of “ich bin ein ander ist bang” (Edition die horen, Bremerhaven, 2000). He has also been translated into Czech, Turkish and Swedish. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Letters from the Romanian-French Department of Bucharest and of the theoretical linguistics masters from the same university.
