PASSIONARIA STOICESCU (IVANOV) (b. 1946, Bucharest) writes poetry, fiction, children books. She is a member of The Writers Union of Romania (1976), Poetry Section. She graduated The Faculty of Philology. She published her first poem in Luceafărul magazine (1964), influenced by Ion Gheorghe and Ion Caraion, poets from Buzău.
She has written 19 poetry books: Zăpezile de jertfă, Cuşca de aer, Apa sâmbetei, Arca lui Noe, Fluturii mutanţi); 9 fiction books: Lecţia de logică, Soare cu dinţi, Circul, Solitaire, Puzzle; 41 children books: Calendarul fermecat, Pană de gaiţă şi poveştile ei, Noapte bună, sâmbure de prună!, Şoricelul mofturos, Călimara fermecată, Mic dicționar deosebit: Cine a fost, ce-a devenit?
She has translated poetry, fiction and plays from Russian and Polish. She has won the Romanian Writersʼ Union Award for Childrenʼs Literature (1996, 2013) Bucharest, “Iulia Hasdeu” UNESCO Award (2002).
