MIHÓK TAMÁS
MIHÓK TAMÁS (b. 1991, in Oradea) is a bilingual poet, translator and book editor and deputy editor of the cultural magazine Familia. He graduated from the Philology Department of the University of Oradea. He was an exchange student at “Eötvös Loránd” University (Budapest) for two years. In 2019, he received his PhD in Philology at the “Petru Maior” University of Târgu Mureş. He is constantly collaborating with cultural journals, such as Poesis Internațional, Újvárad, Golan and Fitralit. Author of five poetry books in Romanian: Șantier în rai [Work site in heaven] (Tracus Arte Publishing House, 2013), winrar de tot [winrar of everything] (Tracus Arte Publishing House, 2015), cuticular [cuticle box] (Max Blecher Publishing House, 2017), biocharia. ritual ecolatru [biocharia. an ecoritual] (frACTalia Publishing House, 2020; Casa de Pariuri Literare Publishing House, 2022) and æs alienum (Max Blecher Publishing House, 2024), as well as of two poetry books in Hungarian: cuticulum vitae (Syllabux Publishing House, 2017) and rizómazaj (Holnap Publishing House, 2021). He has translated four poetry books written by Radu Vancu, Constantin Virgil Bănescu, Krusovszky Dénes and Balázs F. Attila, an anthology of contemporary Romanian poets and an anthology of contemporary Hungarian poets. He is the winner of “De-aș avea…” Prize (2014), “Kinde Annamária” Prize (2017), Romanian Writers’ Union Prize (Stand-Up Poetry, 2019), Communitas Prize (for literary translations, 2019), Writer of the Month – January (2021) and a member of FISZ (Young Hungarian Writers’ Union). Selections of his poems were translated into English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Greek, Polish, Swedish, Croatian and Hindi.
