MEHMET CAN DOĞAN
MEHMET CAN DOĞAN was born in 1969 in Aksaray, located in the Central Anatolia region of Turkey. He received higher education in the field of Turkish Language and Literature. He completed his doctorate in New Turkish Literature; became an associate professor and professor. He currently teaches as a professor at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, Faculty of Communication. His poems, research and criticism articles, and essays have been published in Turkey’s most respected literary magazines. In addition to eight poetry books, he has many research and criticism books about modern Turkish literature. His books are published by Yapı Kredi Publications, one of Turkey’s most prestigious and respected publishing houses. He received the Attilâ İlhan Poetry Award and the Necip Fazıl Poetry Award.
