Livia ROȘCA
Livia ROȘCA (Lucan-Arjoca) is a writer, journalist, and initiator of cultural education programs. Her debut manuscript, Ruj pe icoane (“Lipstick on Icons”), won the first prize for debut organized by Cartea Românească Publishing House in 2005 and the National Poetry Debut Prize “Mihai Eminescu” in 2006. The volume Ruj pe icoane also received other national and local awards.
In 2006, she published the poetry volume 1+1>2 under the name Livia Lucan-Arjoca, (Charmides, 2016).
She is featured in poetry anthologies such as Potential Literature (Vinea, 2007); The Last Generation, the First Wave (Museum of Romanian Literature Publishing House, 2006; Love is on February 14 (Vinea, 2010); and the essay anthology The Four Dimensions of Romanian Femininity (Neverland, 2010).
She has participated in public readings at various festivals: World Poetry Day, March 2012; Women’s Poetry Marathon, Brașov, 2013; Street of Books, Bucharest, 2013; International Poetry Festival Bucharest, National Poetry Book Fair, 2015; Street of Books, Bucharest, 2015; International Poetry Festival Bucharest, 2016; International Poetry Festival Bucharest, 2021.
Livia Roșca has over 15 years of experience in the communication industry, working as a journalist specializing in health and parenting for the daily newspaper Adevărul and as an online editor for websites associated with Adevărul publications. Since 2011, she has been working as a communication specialist.
In 2015, she founded the 7 ARTE Association and initiated the smARTkid program, which includes educational, creative, and recreational workshops for children and young people. She has consistently coordinated caravans with writers for children in rural and disadvantaged areas.
