Ioana Miron

Ioana Miron (born 1989, Botosani, Romania) studied painting at the Ştefan Luchian Art College in Botoşani and the at the Faculty of Letters and Law in Iaşi, Romania. Her poems won several awards in different competitions for unpublished authors. He wrote a Batchelorʼs Degree thesis about Max Blecher and the Master studies were ended up with a study about the impact between the visual and the verbal language in childrenʼs illustrated books, with an application about Alice in Wonderland and hers illustrators. Mironʼs poetry appears in the anthologies ”Porni Luceafărul…”, ”Artgothica”, ”Tranzbordare 13” and ”Ziduri între vii” (”The walls between the vineyards”). Her debut was in 2016, at Casa de Pariuri Literare, Bucarest with the poetry volume ”Picaj/Nose-diving”. Her poems were translated into Spanish, French, Hungarian, English. She collaborates with several cultural magazines. She is a member of PEN Romania. She enjoys rediscovering the play with everyting dealing with imagism and visual poetry.
