Ioan Matiuţ was born in December 18, 1956, in Chişineu Criş, Arad county, Romania. He is a writer, journalist and publisher. A graduate in journalism of the “Aurel Vlaicu” University, Arad. He is a constant presence in Arad’s cultural life: public readings, symposia, TV shows, book launches, articles in the local press. He is the editor-in-chief of “Monitorul Cultural”, editor at “Arca” cultural magazine and owner of the Mirador Publishing House. His poems have been translated into English, French, German, Serbian, Slovene, Arabian, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Chinese and Hungarian.
