Eugen Suciu (b. 1952, Romania) was born in Arad. He is a member of the Romanian Writers’ Union. His first published texts appeared in Caietul debutanților, Albatros publishing house, in 1976. He made his debut with the volume The Joy of Anonimity, in 1979, that was awarded by Albatros publishing house. In 1991, he published Union Cinema, at the National University of Arts in Bucharest. The Joy of Anonimity was reprinted in 2011, by Semne publishing house (with artwork by Mircia Dumitrescu and accompanied with a CD by Mircea Tiberian). In 2011, he published the poetry volume The Tomcat at Cartea Românească publishing house (including translations in German, French, and English by Gerhardt Csejka, Dinu Flămând and Florin Bican). In 2013, he published The Skull, at Tracus Arte publishing house, for which he was awarded the Poetry Book of the Year by the Romanian Writers’ Union.
