ÉRIC DESORDRE (FRANCE)

ÉRIC DESORDRE is a French poet and photographer. Born in Toulouse in 1959, he was deeply influenced from an early age by his strong attachment to the regions of Lauragais and Comminges. His encounters with Marcel Béalu and Charles Juliet proved decisive in shaping his path as a poet. After completing studies unrelated to literature, he worked in publishing and later in IT services, while continuing to write.

His books have been published by Unicité, Le Nouvel Athanor, and Transignum. His poetry has been translated into Italian and published by Joker Edizioni in the Parole del Mondo series, with the volume shortlisted for the Rainer Maria Rilke Prize. His poems have also appeared in literary journals such as Arpa, Voix d’encre, and Triages, as well as in several anthologies. He regularly participates as a poet, reader, and performer in poetry festivals, including Parole Spalancate in Genoa and Voix Vives de Méditerranée en Méditerranée in Sète.

He is a member of the editorial board of Rebelle(s), a humanist and libertarian magazine founded by publisher and poet Jean-Luc Maxence. His writing cultivates a poetics of attention and a fascination with the margins. As a photographer, he pursues an approach closely aligned with his poetry, creating a contemplative universe attentive to subtle forms, shadows, and fragments of everyday life.
