Dumitru Păcuraru (b. 1955, Satu Mare) is a poet and journalist. His literary debut was Miere de viespi, in 1988. After 1989, he became a journalist. He is editor-in-chief of the daily Informația Zilei and the TV station ITV in Satu Mare. He publishes an editorial every day. His only connections with the literary life remain Poesis and Poesis internațional magazines. His friends published the poetry collection entitled Spirit de haită (Dacia, 2012), which has not been distributed. He came into the limelight again in 2008 with the book Salutator universal (Limes, Cluj). In 2010, Brumar press, in Timișoara, he published Poeme din altă carte, a book that has not been distributed as a result of its author’s whim: “I have settled high standards, and I refuse to bend my own rules.” Fascinated by the personality of the painter Aurel Popp, Dumitru Păcuraru wrote the album- monography Aurel Popp, între două culturi, RAO, 2017. Also in 2017 appears The point of reversal of memory – Ed. Max Blecher, Bucharest / Ed. Transylvania School, Cluj Napoca.
