DANIELA ȘONTICĂ (b. 1970, Vintilă-Vodă, Buzău) is a poet, journalist, publisher and member of the Writer’s Union in Romania, Brasov Branch, as of 2017. She graduated the Faculty of Philosophy and Journalism of the “Spiru Haret” University, Bucharest.
She made her debut in Convorbiri literare (The Literary Conversations) magazine, in November 1989. She published poetry and prose in the majority of literary magazines around the country. At present she is an editor at the Lumina journal and works at Radio Trinitas. She has been active in the press field since 1993. Between 2003 and 2010, she was an editor at Jurnalul Național (The National Journal). She founded and currently coordinates the “The Literary and Artistic Light” monthly supplement of the Lumina journal.
