Daniela Şontică (1970, Vintilă-Voda, Buzău), poet, essayist, journalist. Graduate of the Faculty of Philosophy and Journalism of the ˮSpiru Haret” University of Bucharest, graduate of the graphics and painting courses of the Art School of Buzau and of the school of artistic editorial secretary of the Athenaeum Bucharest Foundation. Member of the Brasov Branch of the Romanian Writers’ Union in 2017. He was editor or general secretary of editorial offices in various publications, including ”Privirea” and ”Jurnalul National”; He was editor-in-chief of Lumina Newspaper, he is a radio programmer at Radio Trinitas. He initiated and co-ordinates the Lumina Newspaper’s ”Artistic and Literary Light” monthly supplement.
It is present in anthologies and works devoted to Romanian journalism. He debuted with lyrics in ”Literary Conversations” in November 1989. He published poetry and literary journalism in Romanian Life, Tomis, Ateneu, Literary Romania, Arca, Luceafărul, Libris, Luceafărul de dimineaţă, Tiuk!, Literary and artistic Bucharest, Cafeneaua literary, literary and artistic light, Silvanie notebooks, hearth, literary conversations. Medalist Justinian Patriarch (2017) medal for the promotion of Christian culture by the Patriarch of Romania.
