Daniel Bănulescu was born on the 31st of August, 1960, in Bucharest. He is a novelist, poet and playwright. He is a laureate, together with Ernest Wichner, of the European Prize for Poetry, offered by the city of Münster, Germany. He was also awarded the Prize of the Romanian Academy (for novel) and, two times, the Prize of the Romanian Writers’ Union (for poetry and for drama, respectively). Poetry books published: I’ll Love You Till the End of the Bed, Daniel Bănulescu’s Ballad, Daniel of the Prayer. Author anthologies (including new poems as well): It’s So Good To Be Daniel Bănulescu, In the Snakes’ Nest, Poetry Trilogy. His novel series The Most Beautiful Story of the World consists, so far, of the following novels: I Kiss Your Ass, Beloved Ruler!, The Devil Chases Your Heart, The Best Novel Ever. Theatre volumes: Who Won the Religion World War? and Do You Want To Be God’s Friend? His texts have been translated into German, English, French, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, Dutch, Spanish, etc.
