Dan Mircea Cipariu (Romania)

Dan Mircea CIPARIU (b. September 7, 1972, in Bucharest) holds a degree from the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences, and is a writer, journalist, and manager of cultural projects and programs. He made his debut in the literary press in 1988 (SLAST) and, in book form, in 1999 with the volume Let’s Meet on the Website Saturday Night / Hai să ne-ntâlnim pe site sâmbătă seara (Libra). In 2007, his poetry volume Tsunami / Tsunami (Brumar) received the Prize of the Bucharest Writers’ Association. In 2020, he earned a PhD in Philology for his thesis Patterns of the Poetic Image / Tipare ale imaginii poetice, coordinated by Professor Silviu Angelescu, at the Doctoral School of the Faculty of Letters, University of Bucharest.

He has taught creative writing courses at the Universities of Belgrade and Novi Sad, at the National Museum of Romanian Literature in Bucharest, and within programs of the Arad Cultural Center, the Euro CulturArt Association, the Aluniș Art Center, and the Association of Literary Publications and Publishing Houses in Romania (APLER). 

In 2022, he published the volume META VERS / META VERS, with seven illustrations by Mihai Zgondoiu, at Vellant, a book awarded the Special Prize of Ficțiunea OPT M magazine and the National Prize for Poetry “Vasile Voiculescu.” In 2024, he published the volume The Cartridge Belt / Cartușeria, with seven illustrations by Mihai Zgondoiu, at Vellant.
