Bogdan-Alexandru PETCU

Bogdan-Alexandru PETCU (b. 1995, loc. Albele, com. Bîrsănești, Bacău county) graduated from “Grigore Moisil” Onești National College, then studied Philosophy at the Faculty of History and Philosophy of the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca .

He debuted in poetry with the volume transcender (Charmides, 2022), winning volume of the Filstreet Pitești National Award for debut in poetry and of the Romanian Writers Union Award, Bacău branch, for debut “Petru Scutelnicu”, shortlisted at Bac-Fest , the ARCCA awards and the Debut Award of the Romanian Writers’ Union, Iași branch, and reviewed in several profile magazines in the country.

It appeared in the anthologies Generation O Mie de Semne. 59 poets appeared in “Posta redacciai” (Editura Casa de Pariuri Literare, 2022), not mentioned anymore. Caietul de la Săvârșin #16 (Editura Mirador Arad, 2023), What you say at night before bed. An anthology of the Noise Poetry reading club (Editura Cartex, 2024), but also in various profile magazines in the country.

He gave several public readings at FILIT (Poetry’s White Night), the Blecher Institute, “Thoreau’s Grandson”, Junimea XXI, etc., participating in creative writing camps in Săvârșin, the Ipotești Memorial and “Petre Stoica” .
