ANDREI C. ȘERBAN

Andrei C. Șerban is a University Lecturer in the Department of Drama and Theatre Studies of the Faculty of Letters and Arts, Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu. He graduated PhD. studies with a thesis on Virgil Mazilescu’s poetry. He has published several literary, theatre, and film reviews and studies, being also a reviewer and member of the jury at The Monthly Film Festival in Glasgow. He moderated, on the occasion of special screenings, meetings with directors and actors at Este Film Festival and TIFF Sibiu, being also responsible for the Neorealism and New Realisms section, within Astra Film Festival 2015. He signed the Romanian translation of several French contemporary plays. He published in 2015 his first book, coregrafii / choreographies (poetry, Charmides Publishing House). He also published the monodrama-poem casa de dincolo de ocean / the house across the ocean (CDPL Publishing House, 2020) and the study Respirația cavalerului. Teatralitate și imaginar medieval în lirica lui Virgil Mazilescu / The knight’s breath. Theatricality and medieval imaginary in Virgil Mazilescu’s poetry (Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu Publishing House, 2021). Since 2019, he is editor, selector, and translator of the Lansman Anthologies, published at the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu Publishing House, in the Sibiu International Theatre Festival collection.
