ADRIAN SÂNGEORZAN (Romania / USA)

ADRIAN SÂNGEORZAN graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Cluj. Since 1990 he has lived in New York, where he practices medicine while maintaining an extensive literary career. He has published several volumes of poetry, short stories, essays, and novels in both Romania and the United States. His bilingual Romanian-English poetry collections include On the Lifeline(Axa 2000 Publishing House), Tattoos on Marble, The Anatomy of the Moon, Remembrance, Masked World, My Homes (Scrisul Românesc), and The Geography of Things (Charmides).

He is the author of the short-story collections Between Two Worlds: Tales of a Women’s Doctor, Certificate of Virginity, Among Women, and After the End, as well as the novels The Circus in Front of the House and Vitali (Curtea Veche), both of which have also appeared in English editions published by New Meridian Arts, New York. His latest novel, A Lucky Woman, was published in 2026.

Adrian Sângeorzan is a member of the Romanian Writers’ Union and of the International Library of Poets in the United States.
